NEW JERSEY NATURAL GAS REMINDS CUSTOMERS TO ALWAYS ASK TO SEE IDENTIFICATION

With reports of individuals falsely representing themselves as utility workers, New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) wants to remind customers to always ask to see identification any time a company representative arrives at their home or business. All NJNG employees carry photo identification, as do contractors working on behalf of the company. Additionally, NJNG employees drive commercial vehicles clearly marked with our company name and logo. If approached by someone claiming to represent NJNG, ask to see their identification. If a situation seems suspicious, call NJNG’s Customer Services department at 800-221-0051 and ask to speak with a supervisor to verify the representative’s authenticity, or call the local police. Customers should never open the door to anyone who cannot produce proper identification or whose badge does not seem genuine.  more

Following their report of the state of Shrewsbury by Mayor Don Burden, they were treated to the instrumental talents and beautiful voices of their hometown high school, Red Bank Regional (RBR) and its Visual & Performing Arts Academy (VPA) piano and voice majors. more

The Clock and Bell are Back!

The town clock and bell that are part of Christ Church are once again back in operation! After a failure in the control mechanism that resulted in a several month shutdown, repairs have been completed. Once again the 1874 clock is telling the time accurately on its three faces and the 1788 bell is tolling the hour.  The bell can be heard in most of Shrewsbury and the clock tells the time for the many travelers visiting and passing through Shrewsbury.
