Tell-A-Tip Hotline 732-741-8682
To solve and prevent felony Crimes and/or
terroristic threats, possession of weapons,
vandalism, and possession of narcotics which has already occurred, is in
the process of occurring, or may occur in the future of Shrewsbury Borough. By
gaining knowledge, solving and or preventing crimes,
the level of community safety will increase.
How Does It Work?
When Tell-A-Tip receives a call, it
is logged with the date and time, and the caller will leave a brief summary of
their crime tip on a voicemail system. Callers may remain anonymous, with no
pressure to reveal their identity. Anonymity is important in providing the
caller protection from retaliation to themselves and their families by the
suspect, and to avoid having to appear in Court to testify. The Tell-A-Tip line
will not have a live operator, but will be checked for messages regularly. If
you have an emergency or crime that needs immediate attention please call 9-1-1
or to speak with an Officer immediately call the main police line at 732-741
-2500.
Tell-A-Tip provides a means of
communication for members of the public to provide law enforcement with
information on crimes and suspects. This is a partnership between the community
and law enforcement.
