The Borough of Shrewsbury is nestled in the north east section
of Monmouth County. Shrewsbury consists of approximately 2.3
square miles and is primarily a residential community.
Shrewsbury was settled in 1662 as one of the Two Towns of the Navesink. Its Four Corners, consisting of the intersection
of Broad Street and Sycamore Avenue is of significant
historical importance within Monmouth County.
The information within the

Borough, the functions of the various departments, boards and commissions
as well as links to other governmental agencies.

OVERNIGHT PARKING
is prohibited November 1st through March 31st in accordance with Chapter
90-4B The parking of
any motor vehicle upon any of the streets in the Borough of Shrewsbury
between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. from November 1 through
March 31 is prohibited. [Amended 8-8-1988 by
Ord. No. 577]

Shrewsbury Student Recognized by Red Bank Regional as Commended Scholar
Kayla Schneider-Smith is a creative
writing major in RBR’s Visual and Performing Arts Academy. She won a
prestigious Gold Key Award and the Holy Cross Book Prize for her writing
skills. She has been a four year Academic Varsity Letter recipient and
is a member of both the National and National English Honor Societies.
Her extra curricular activities include membership in the Key Club,
Concert Band, Diversity Council and as a peer mediator. She has been
very active in her temple as a Temple Shalom Library volunteer and
Hebrew school tutor. Additionally, she accompanied her Hebrew High
School colleagues on their Confirmation trip to Washington D. C. as part
of The Religious Action Center’s lobbying of Congress for social
activism. She has also volunteered in the Monmouth County Library and
Relay for Life. She lists among her most memorable activities her choir
performance in Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall as well as her
attendance at a Diversity Leadership Conference in Kean University.
Kayla would like to study spiritual technology in college next year.

Northbound onto
Silverbrook Rd. between the hours of 6:00AM
– 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM as set forth in the following
resolution:

Listed Among America's Best High Schools for 2011:
RBR is proud to have once again made
Newsweek's America’s Best High Schools’ list for the 2011 ranking (based
on 2010 statistics.) This year’s list utilizes more comprehensive
criteria including graduation and college attendance rates as well as
advanced placement courses. In all, New Jersey schools fared very well
with 36 schools or 7% in the top 500 and six or 17% of those schools in
Monmouth County.
